Since graduating in 2018, Lucas has made the move to Whistler, B.C. and has trained with the Whistler Nordic Development Centre biathlon Podium Program full time.

Fondly remembered in Manitoba as the athlete who crushed everyone in his path, we can say with complete certainty (and without bias) that he still lives up to his reputation. Each year since his departure he has been named to a Biathlon Canada National Development Team, this spring being named to the U24 Development Team for the 2021/2022 season.

When he’s not out on the range, Lucas is an avid photographer, a huge cheese enthusiast, and a part time barista at Mt. Currie Coffee in the Whistler Village. Having mastered both the leaf and the heart, no shape is safe anymore from his latte foam art abilities.

This November 1st – 7th, Lucas will be racing in Canmore, AB. for the Biathlon Canada IBU Cup & World Cup Trials. We wish him all the best this season, and look forward to seeing his success on course!
