Jamboree Wrap-Up
The 10th Annual Jackrabbit Jamboree was a big success this past weekend with 100 children from various Jackrabbit clubs throughout the city and province participating. The mascot race was a close call with Sparky the Fire Dog edging out Tony the Touque at the finish line.
We would like to thank this year’s sponsors: Qualico Homes, CCSAM, Cross Country Canada, Olympia Cycle and Ski on Portage, Olympia Cycle and Ski on St.Mary’s, and Nav Canada.
Of course, we can’t forget the numerous volunteers who came out and gave their time to ensure the children had a fun day. Thanks to all of you.
Registration Fees in December
December is the final month for registering to join Red River Nordic for the 2011-2012 winter season. The rates have increased as of December 1st and are now as follows:
- Jackrabbits $90
- Junior Sidewinder $120
- Sidewinder $170
- Junior Race Team $255
- Race Team $325
- Adult lessons $120
- General member only $50
This represents an increase of $30 per participant/program in most cases. General membership remains $50 and is payable per family rather than individual.
