Volunteer Travel Planner

Volunteer Travel Planner (Board Position)

Red River Nordic Ski & Biathlon Club is looking for a volunteer to assist with travel coordination for out of town and hosted events.

The Travel Coordinator will help the ski and biathlon teams and families by:

  • ·         Assist in determining the lowest cost travel arrangements for overnight race and training trips, and
  • ·         Assist in arranging and reserving bus travel, negotiating hotel rates, and arranging car rentals, hall rentals and group meal arrangements.

Red River Nordic has traditionally held 3 – 6 such trips each year.

As a Board member, this position provides opportunity to influence club direction and ski programs.

This position does not require the management of individual trip registrations, money collection, payments to travel vendors, or other related duties, as these duties are already performed by our Registrar, Treasurer or individual club members.

If you have a child in the program and are looking for the opportunity to provide assistance to Red River Nordic, we encourage you to talk to any existing board member about this position.

Provincials Wrap Up and Group Photo

Congratulations to all the skiers who competed in Flin Flon, Manitoba at the SaskMan Cup/ Provincial Championships (Classic)/ MB Cup races.  The weekend was enjoyed by all.  There were two bus loads of racers, parents and supporters from Red River Nordic, Boundary Trails and Kenora Nordic who headed north bright and early Friday morning for the competition, returning to Winnipeg late Sunday evening.  Everyone was thrilled to ski in an area with so much snow and challenging courses, with steep climbs and fast descents.  All the racers should be very proud of their performances.  Thanks to the Flin Flon Ski Club for hosting a fabulous event.
